Soraya Martinez Ferrada announces her team in Côte-des-Neiges—Notre-Dame-de-Grâce

Montréal, August 18 2025 – Soraya Martinez Ferrade, mayoral candidate and leader of Ensemble Montréal, announced Monday that Stephanie Valenzuela will run for mayor of the Côte-des-Neiges—Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (CDN-NDG) borough for the political party.

Currently the city councilor of the Darlington district, she is well aware of the realities of this most populous borough of Montreal, where she was born and raised.

A Complete Team in CDN-NDG

In addition to Stephanie Valenzuela, the CDN-NDG borough can count on a strong team from diverse backgrounds. Milany Thiagarajah and Yvonne Nguyen join the team, respectively as candidates in the ridings of Darlington and Côte-des-Neiges.

The first is involved in sports and cultural organizations, while the second is an immigration lawyer and Vice-President of External Affairs for the Vietnamese community in Canada.

They join the team of candidates composed of entrepreneur Peter Shatilla (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce) and Alexandre Teodoresco, a professional expert in innovation and digital transformation (Loyola).

Heavily involved in the borough’s various communities and organizations, Sonny Moroz will seek a second term in Snowdon.

Key Priorities in CDN-NDG

Under the leadership of Stephanie Valenzuela, CDN-NDG will regain a quality of life and a sense of security worthy of a metropolitan area:

Accelerate the construction of affordable housing, including at the Namur-Hippodrome and former YMCA NDG sites;

Improve neighbourhood safety and prevent crime, especially by increasing funding for crime prevention projects;

Work to build a multisport center in Côte-des-Neiges and add outdoor sports facilities;

Invest in infrastructures and flood protections

The full list of local commitments will be unveiled soon.
