Mexico City celebrated the Historic 7th March ঐতিহাসিক ৭ই মার্চ দিবস
মেক্সিকো সিটিস্থ বাংলাদেশ দূতাবাসে জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের ঐতিহাসিক ৭ই মার্চ দিবস পালিত
যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদা ও ভাব গাম্ভীর্যের সাথে মেক্সিকো সিটিস্থ বাংলাদেশ দূতাবাস ‘ঐতিহাসিক ৭ই মার্চ’ ২০২৩ দিবসটি পালন করে।
অনুষ্ঠানের শুরুতেই জাতীয় সঙ্গীতের সাথে রাষ্ট্রদূত কর্তৃক জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করা হয়। এরপর স্থানীয় বাংলাদেশী কমিউনিটির সদস্যবৃন্দ এবং দূতাবাসের সকল কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীদের উপস্থিতিতে বঙ্গবন্ধুর ভাস্কর্যে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ করা হয়। দিবসটি উপলক্ষে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে মহামান্য রাষ্ট্রপতি ও মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর প্রদত্ত বাণীসমূহ পাঠ করা হয়। দূতাবাসের স্থানীয় কর্মচারীদের অংশগ্রহণে ইংরেজি ও স্প্যানিশ ভাষায় ৭ই মার্চের বঙ্গবন্ধুর ঐতিহাসিক ভাষণটি পাঠ করা হয়। পরবর্তীতে ‘বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের ঐহিতাসিক ৭ই মার্চের ভাষণ’ শীর্ষক একটি বিশেষ তথ্যচিত্রের পাশাপাশি মুক্তিযুদ্ধের উপর জাহিদুর রহমান বিপ্লব কর্তৃক নির্মিত ও পরিচালিত স্বল্পদৈর্ঘ্য চলচিত্র ‘ওমর ফারুকের মা’ আগতদের মাঝে প্রদর্শন করা হয়। উন্মুক্ত আলোচনা পর্বে দূতাবাসের কর্মকর্তাগণ তাদের বক্তব্যে ঐতিহাসিক ৭ই মার্চের ভাষণ’-এর তাৎপর্য ও গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরেন।
রাষ্ট্রদূত আবিদা ইসলাম তার বক্তৃতায় জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানসহ সকল মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করেন। তার বক্তব্যে তিনি বাংলাদেশের মুক্তিযুদ্ধে ঐতিহাসিক ৭ই মার্চের ভাষণের গুরুত্ব ও তাৎপর্য বিস্তারিতভাবে তুলে ধরেন। এরপর বাংলাদেশের ঐতিহ্যবাহী খাবার পরিবেশনের মধ্য দিয়ে অনুষ্ঠানের পরিসমাপ্তি ঘটে।
With due respect and fervor the Embassy of Bangladesh in Mexico City celebrated the Historic 7th March.
The day commenced by hoisting of the National Flag by Ambassador Abida Islam with the tune of the national anthem and placing a flower wreath to the bust of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in presence of the members of Bangladesh community as well as all the Embassy officials. It was followed by the reading out of the messages of the Hon’ble President and the Hon’ble Prime Minister given on this occasion. The ‘Historic 7th March speech’ of Bangabandhu, was read out by the local employees of the Embassy, both in English and Spanish languages. A special documentary titled ‘The Historic 7th March speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’ including a short film based on the liberation war of Bangladesh namely, ‘Omar Faruker Ma’ directed by Zahidur Rahman Biplob were screened at the event.
Ambassador Abida Islam in her speech paid rich tribute to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as well as to all the valiant freedom fighters. In her speech, she elaborated the significance of the ‘Historic 7th March Speech’ and its contribution in the War of Independence of Bangladesh in 1971. The event came to an end by entertaining the attendees with the traditional cuisine of Bangladesh.
