Larry King, the long time CNN host who became an iconic figure through his interviews with countless newsmakers and his sartorial sensibilities. Larry King hosted “Larry King Live” on CNN for more than 25 years, interviewing presidential candidates, presidents, world leaders including presidents, prime ministers, Kings and Queens, celebrities, athletes, movie stars and ordinary people. He retired in 2010 after successfully taping more than 6,000 episodes of the show. For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry King’s many thousands of interviews, awards, and global acclaim stand as a golden testament to his unique and lasting talent as a legendary broadcaster.
 Larry King full name Lawrence Harvey Zeiger was born in Brooklyn, New York City in the United States on 19th November 1933. He died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on 23rd January 23, 2021. His parents emigrated to the United States from Belarus in the 1930s. Larry King attended Lafayette High School, a public high school in Brooklyn. Larry King’s father died of a heart attack when Larry King was nine years old. This resulted in Larry King, his mother, and brother going on government welfare. Larry King was greatly affected by his father’s death, and subsequently lost interest in his schoolwork. After graduating high school, Larry King worked to help support his mother. From an early age, he desired to work in radio broadcasting.
He was a vey successful American television presenter, radio host, and journalist, whose work was recognized globally with many awards including two Peabodys, an Emmy award, and ten Cable ACE Awards. Larry King began his career as a local Florida journalist and radio interviewer in the 1950s and 1960s, and gained enormous prominence beginning in 1978 as host of The Larry King Show, an all-night nationwide call-in radio program heard on the Mutual Broadcasting System. From 1985 to 2010, he hosted the very popular nightly interview television program known to the US and the world as Larry King Live on CNN.
