The new committee of the NRB CIP Association
Mohammad Mahtabur Rahman, Chairman of NRB Bank and Al Haramain Group of UAE, elected as the President of NRB CIP Association, the apex organization of expatriate Bangladeshis for the second time while Mohammed Yaseen Chowdhury, Chairman of Akhtar Al Baluchi Group of Oman elected as the new General Secretary of the organization.
The 2021-2023 executive committee was formed in the annual general meeting of the organizati that was held at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Dubai, a commercial city of the United Arab Emirates, on Tuesday last. The 21-member committee was unanimously elected by NRB CIPs from around the world.
The other elected office bearers of the committee are: Senior Vice President-Tateyama Kabir (Japan), Vice President-Md. Monir Hossain (UAE), Kazi Sharwar Habib (Japan), Rafiqul Islam Mia Arzoo (Russia) and Mohammad Shahjahan Meah (Oman), Assistant General Secretary- Mohammed Shafi Uddin (Bahrain) and Mohammed Mahabub Alam (UAE), Organizing Secretary- Md. Mahmudur Rahman Khan Shahin (Hong Kong), Joint. Organizing Secretary-Hafez Mohammed Idris (Oman), Treasurer- Engineer Mohammad Ashrafur Rahman (Oman), International Secretary Kazi Shah Alam Zhunu (Sweden), Office Secretary Abul Kalam Azad (Oman), Joint office Secretary Abdul Aziz Khan (Qatar).
Besides, the executive members of the new committee are Mohammed Selim (UAE), Shahid Hossain Jahangir (Australia), Mohammed Farid Ahmed (UAE), Abul Kalam (UAE), Mohammed Akhter Hossain (UAE) and Kollol Ahmed (USA).
In recognition of its significant contribution to the economy of Bangladesh by sending the highest amount of remittances legally, the Government of Bangladesh annually selects NRB CIPs from expatriate Bangladeshis around the world on the basis of merit.
The NRB CIP Association, a reputed organization of expatriate CIPs provided by the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment, is playing a role in increasing remittance flow in Bangladesh as well as ensuring various opportunities for the welfare of expatriate Bangladeshis and their families at home and abroad.

প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিদের শীর্ষ সংগঠন এনআরবি সিআইপি এসোসিয়েশনের দ্বিতীয়বারের মতো সভাপতি নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন এনআরবি ব্যাংক ও আমিরাতের আল হারামাইন গ্রুপের চেয়ারম্যান মোহাম্মদ মাহতাবুর রহমান। একই সঙ্গে নতুন সাধারণ সম্পাদক নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন ওমানের আকতার আল বেলুচি গ্রুপের চেয়ারম্যান মোহাম্মদ ইয়াছিন চৌধুরী।
গত মঙ্গলবার সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাতের বাণিজিক শহর দুবাইয়ের ক্রাউন প্লাজা হোটেলে অনুষ্ঠিত সংগঠনের বার্ষিক সাধারণ সভায় তাদের নেতৃত্বে ২০২১-২০২৩ সালে কার্যকরী কমিটি গঠন করা হয়। বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশ থেকে আসা এনআরবি সিআইপিদের সর্বসম্মতিক্রমে ২১ সদস্যের এই কমিটি নির্বাচিত হয়।
কমিটির নির্বাচিত অন্য সদস্যরা হলেন, সিনিয়র সহ -সভাপতি থাতেইয়ামা কবির (জাপান), সহ-সভাপতি মো. মনির হোসেন (আরব আমিরাত), কাজী শারওয়ার হাবিব (জাপান), রফিকুল ইসলাম মিয়া আরজু (রাশিয়া) ও মোহাম্মদ শাহজাহান মিয়া (ওমান), সহ সাধারণ সম্পাদক মোহাম্মদ শফি উদ্দিন (বাহরাইন) ও মোহাম্মদ মাহাবুব আলম (আরব আমিরাত), সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক মো. মাহমুদুর রহমান খান শাহিন (হংকং), যুগ্ম সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক হাফেজ মোহাম্মদ ইদ্রিস (ওমান), কোষাধ্যক্ষ ইঞ্জিনিয়ার মোহাম্মদ আশরাফুর রহমান (ওমান), আন্তর্জাতিক সম্পাদক কাজী শাহ আলম জুনু (সুইডেন), দপ্তর সম্পাদক আবুল কালাম আজাদ (ওমান), সহ-দপ্তর সম্পাদক আবদুল আজিজ খান (কাতার) ।
এ ছাড়া নির্বাহী সদস্যরা হলেন, মোহাম্মদ সেলিম (আরব আমিরাত), শহীদ হোসেন জাহাঙ্গীর (অস্ট্রেলিয়া), মোহাম্মদ ফরিদ আহমেদ (আরব আমিরাত) এবং আবুল কালাম ((আরব আমিরাত) মোহাম্মদ আকতার হোসেন (আরব আমিরাত), কল্লোল আহমেদ ((যুক্তরাষ্ট্র) ।
বৈধপথে সর্বোচ্চ রেমিটেন্স পাঠিয়ে বাংলাদেশের অর্থনীতিতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদানের স্বীকৃতিস্বরূপ বাংলাদেশ সরকার প্রতি বছর সারাবিশ্বের প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিদের মধ্য থেকে যোগ্যতার ভিত্তিতে এনআরবি সিআইপি নির্বাচিত করে ।
প্রবাসী কল্যাণ ও বৈদেশিক কর্মসংস্থান মন্ত্রণালয়ের দেওয়া এই মর্যাদাপ্রাপ্ত প্রবাসী সিআইপিদের সংগঠনএনআরবি সিআইপি এসোসিয়েশন, বাংলাদেশে রেমিট্যান্স প্রবাহ বৃদ্ধির পাশাপাশি প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশি ও তাদের পরিবারের কল্যাণে দেশে ও বিদেশে কর্মক্ষেত্রসহ নানাবিধ সুযোগ সুবিধা নিশ্চিতে ভূমিকা রেখে যাচ্ছে।
