The Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul boserved the 93rd Birth Anniversary of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa Mujib
The Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul observed the 93rd Birth Anniversary of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa Mujib on 08 August 2023. The expatriate Bangladeshis living in the Republic of Korea and the Embassy officials took part in the event.
Ambassador Delwar Hossain, in presence of the expatriate Bangladeshis and the Embassy officials, paid homage to the memory of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa Mujib by placing floral wreaths at her portrait. A special prayer was offered for the salvation of the departed soul of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa Mujib, including the Father of the Nation, his martyred family members as well as for the continued peace and prosperity of the country. Then, the Embassy officials read out the messages of the Hon’ble President and the Hon’ble Prime Minister. A documentary on the life of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa Mujib was also screened during the programme. In the discussion session, the discussants highlighted the glorious life and contributions of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa Mujib.
Ambassador Delwar Hossain in his speech paid rich tribute to the memory of Bangamata Begum Sheikh Fazilatun Nesa Mujib. He highlighted various aspects of the life and contribution of Bangamata Fazilatun Nesa Mujib including her contributions to the attainment of independence and to the reconstruction of the country. He added that her life and works would remain a source of inspiration for the people of Bangladesh particularly for the Bangalee women.

বাংলাদেশ দূতাবাস, সিউলে আজ ০৮ আগস্ট ২০২৩ জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের সহধর্মিণী বঙ্গমাতা বেগম ফজিলাতুন নেছা মুজিবের ৯৩তম জন্মবার্ষিকী পালন করে। দক্ষিণ কোরিয়ায় বসবাসরত প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশীগণ এবং দূতাবাসের কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীগণ এ অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহণ করেন।
অনুষ্ঠানের প্রারম্ভে রাষ্ট্রদূত জনাব দেলওয়ার হোসেন দূতাবাসের কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীবৃন্দ ও বাংলাদেশ কমিউনিটির সদস্যবৃন্দের উপস্থিতিতে বঙ্গমাতা বেগম ফজিলাতুন নেছা মুজিবের প্রতিকৃতিতে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণের মাধ্যমে শ্রদ্ধাজ্ঞাপন করেন। অতঃপর বঙ্গমাতা বেগম ফজিলাতুন নেছা মুজিব ও জাতির পিতাসহ তাঁর পরিবারের শহিদ সদস্যদের স্মরণে ও তাঁদের বিদেহী আত্মার শান্তি কামনা করে এবং দেশ ও জাতির শান্তি ও উত্তরোত্তর সমৃদ্ধি কামনা করে বিশেষ মোনাজাত করা হয়। বঙ্গমাতা বেগম ফজিলাতুন নেছা মুজিবের ৯৩তম জন্মবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষ্যে মহামান্য রাষ্ট্রপতি ও মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বাণী পাঠ করা হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে বঙ্গমাতা বেগম ফজিলাতুন নেছা মুজিবের উপর নির্মিত একটি প্রামাণ্যচিত্রও প্রদর্শন করা হয়। আলোচনা পর্বে আলোচকগণ বঙ্গমাতা বেগম ফজিলাতুন নেছা মুজিবের জীবন ও কর্মের উপর আলোচনা করেন।
রাষ্ট্রদূত জনাব দেলওয়ার হোসেন তাঁর বক্তব্যের শুরুতে বঙ্গমাতা বেগম ফজিলাতুন নেছা মুজিবের জন্মবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষ্যে তাঁর স্মৃতির প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করেন। তিনি তাঁর বক্তব্যে বঙ্গমাতা বেগম ফজিলাতুন নেছা মুজিবের জীবন ও কর্ম এবং দেশ ও জাতিগঠনে তাঁর অসমান্য অবদানের নানা দিক তুলে ধরেন। তিনি বলেন, বঙ্গমাতা বেগম ফজিলাতুন নেছা মুজিবের গৌরবময় জীবন ও কর্ম বাংলাদেশের জনগণের জন্য বিশেষত বাঙ্গালি নারীদের নিকট অফুরন্ত অনুপ্রেরণার উৎস হয়ে থাকবে।
