বঙ্গবন্ধু বাংলার শান্তি, অগ্রগতি ও সাম্যের অবিসংবাদিত নেতা
যথাযথ মর্যাদা ও ভাব গাম্ভীর্যের মধ্য দিয়ে মেক্সিকো সিটিস্থ বাংলাদেশ দূতাবাস বাঙ্গালী জাতির স্বপ্ন দ্রষ্টা এবং মহান স্বাধীনতার রুপকার জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের ৪৭তম মৃত্যুবার্ষিকী পালন করে।
দূতাবাসের সকল কর্মকর্তা ও কর্মচারীদের উপস্থিতিতে জাতীয় সংগীতের সাথে মান্যবর রাষ্ট্রদূত কর্তৃক জাতীয় পতাকা অর্ধনমিতকরণ এবং দূতালয় ভবনে স্থাপিত জাতির পিতার আবক্ষ প্রতিকৃতিতে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণের মধ্য দিয়ে দিবসটি কার্যক্রম শুরু হয়। পরবর্তিতে, ১৯৭৫ সালের ১৫ই আগষ্ট তারিখে শাহাদাত বরণকারী বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান এবং তার পরিবারের সকল শহীদ সদস্যদের উদ্দেশ্যে এক মিনিট নীরবতা পালন করা হয়। জাতীয় শোক দিবস উপলক্ষে মহামান্য রাষ্ট্রপতি, মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী, মাননীয় পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ও মাননীয় প্রতিমন্ত্রী কর্তৃক প্রদত্ত বাণীসমূহ পাঠ করা হয় । জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান এবং সেই রাতে শাহাদাত বরণকারী তার পরিবারের সকল সদস্যবৃন্দের আত্মার শান্তি কামনা করে এ সময় বিশেষ প্রার্থনা করা হয়।
অনুষ্ঠানের দ্বিতীয় ভাগে মেক্সিকোর ANAHUAC বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রায় ১৬ জন শিক্ষার্থী জাতীয় শোক দিবসের কর্মসূচিতে অংশ নেয়।এ সময় জাতির পিতার জীবনী ও তার অবদানের উপরে নির্মিত ‘ BANGABANDHU IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER ‘ শীর্ষক একটি তথ্য চিএ প্রদর্শন করা হয়। পরবর্তিতে, রাষ্ট্রদূত আবিদা ইসলাম জাতির পিতার প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করেন। তিনি বঙ্গবন্ধু ও বাংলাদেশ’ শীর্ষক একটি উপস্থাপনার মাধ্যমে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের পূর্বে সুদীর্ঘ শান্তিপূর্ণ আন্দোলনে এবং সার্বভৌম ও স্বাধীন বাংলাদেশ অর্জনে বঙ্গবন্ধুর অপরিসীম অবদানের পাশাপাশি যুদ্ধ-বিধ্বস্ত দেশ পূনর্গঠনে তাঁর বিপ্লবী পদক্ষেপসমূহের কথা তুলে ধরে। তিনি বঙ্গবন্ধুর ‘সোনার বাংলা’-এর স্বপ্ন এবং জাতির পিতার এই স্বপ্ন বাস্তবায়নে মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বিভিন্ন উদ্যোগগুলি বিস্তারিতভাবে উপস্থাপন করেন। উন্মুক্ত আলোচনা পর্বে শিক্ষার্থীরা বঙ্গবন্ধু, তার রাজনৈতিক জীবন এবং বাংলাদেশের আর্থ-সামাজিক উন্নয়নের কারণসহ তার অবদান সম্পর্কে আরও জানার আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করে। পরে আগত অতিথিদের বাংলাদেশের ঐতিহ্যবাহী খাবারের মাধ্যমে আপ্যায়ন করা হয়।
জাতীয় শোক দিবস পালনের অংশ হিসাবে, রাষ্ট্রদূত গত ০৯ আগস্ট ২০২২ তারিখে UNAM বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃক আয়োজিত দক্ষিণ-এশিয়া বিষয়ক মডিউল-২ এর সমাপনী অধিবেশনে ” বঙ্গবন্ধু এবং বাংলাদেশের উন্নয়ন যাত্রা” শীর্ষক মূল প্রবন্ধ উপস্থাপন করেন। উক্ত আলোচনায় UNAM বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এর দক্ষিণ এশিয়ান স্টাডিজের শিক্ষার্থী এবং অনুষদের সদস্যসহ ৪০ জনেরও অধিক অংশগ্রহণকারী উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
Bangabandhu was the leader of peace, progress and equality
The Embassy of Bangladesh in Mexico City observed the National Mourning Day and the 47th Anniversary of Martyrdom of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman today, on 15 August 2022 with due solemnity and fervor.
The activities of the day commenced with the hoisting of the national flag at half-mast by the Ambassador with the tune of the national anthem in the morning which was followed by placing a floral wreath at the bust of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the Chancery premise in presence of all the officials of the Embassy and the community people. Later, a one-minute silence was observed for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all the martyred members of his family on 15th August 1975. The messages of the Hon’ble President, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Hon’ble Foreign Minister, and Hon’ble State Minister given on this occasion were read out. A special prayer was also offered for the salvation of the Father of the Nation and his family members and others who were assassinated on 15 August 1975.
In the second segment, around 16 Mexican students from the University of Anahuac joined the National Mourning Day program of the Embassy. A documentary on the life and contributions of the Father of the Nation namely ”BANGABANDHU IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER“ was screened. Later, Ambassador Abida Islam in her presentation titled, ‘Bangabandhu and Bangladesh’ paid her deepest homage and heartfelt tribute to the Father of the Nation and highlighted the immense contributions of Bangabandhu in the peaceful movements for autonomy, in building a sovereign and independent Bangladesh, and his revolutionary measures to rebuild the war-ravaged country from scratch. She also elaborated on the concept of ‘Sonar Bangla’ and the initiatives of the Hon’ble Prime Minister in materializing the dream of the Founding Father. During the open discussion session, the students expressed their interest to learn more about Bangabandhu, his political life, and his contributions including the factors behind the socio-economic development of Bangladesh. Afterwards, the guests were entertained by traditional Bangladeshi cuisines.
As part of the observance of the above occasion, on 09 August 2022, Ambassador Abida Islam presented a keynote speech on “Bangabandhu and Development Journey of Bangladesh” during the closing session of module II on South Asia organized by the UNAM University in Mexico City, virtually. The session was well attended by over 40 participants including students of South Asian Studies and members of the faculty.
