54th Great Independence and National Day of Bangladesh observed in Viet Nam
Hanoi, 26 March 2024: Today, in commemoration the 54th Great Independence and National Day of Bangladesh, a reception was hosted by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Hanoi at the local Daewoo Hotel with utmost reverence and grandeur. Do Hung Viet, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Viet Nam graced the event as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by more than 100 Ambassadors, Chargé d’affaires of diplomatic Missions, representative of international organization, high officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam, business representative and Bangladeshi diaspora in Hanoi. The ceremony started by playing the national anthem of Bangladesh and Viet Nam in sequence.
Ambassador of Bangladesh to Viet Nam Md. Lutfor Rahman delivered the welcome remarks. He paid deep tribute to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, three million martyrs, two hundred thousand woman and all heroic freedom fighters-who made supreme sacrifice for our great independence.
Highlighting major milestone achievement of Bangladesh over the last couple of years, Ambassador Rahman articulated “Under Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s dynamic leadership, Bangladesh has made significant stride in all socio-economic sector of the economy and now it is the 35th Largest economy in the world. The Hon’ble Prime Minister now is working relentlessly to make the Bangladesh a poverty free, happy, prosperous and developed nation by 2041 as envisioned by the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. And in this noble journey of Bangladesh, we seek for enhanced cooperation from you all, my dear friend.” He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the friendly people and the Government of Việt Nam for their unwavering cooperation with Bangladesh and assured full cooperation for further strengthening the bonds of friendship between Bangladesh and Việt Nam in the years to come.
In his address, the Chief Guest of the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Do Hung Viet warmly congratulated the people and Government of Bangladesh for the tremendous achievement it has earned over the last 54 years of Independence. He said, “As one of the fastest growing economies, a global leader in green textile and garment industry, and the top troops contributing country to UN peacekeeping operation, Bangladesh has proven to be an important player in the region and the world.” The Deputy Foreign Minister expressed his confidence that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh will continue to make greater progress towards achieving Vision 2041-building a Smart Bangladesh, with Smart Citizen, Smart Economy, Smart Government, and Smart Society.
Following the speech of Chief Guest, cake was cut to mark the great Independence and National Day. The guests were served iftar-dinner with traditional Bangladeshi cuisine. Notably, an exhibition, showcasing major development and prosperity of Bangladesh in recent years, was held concurrently with the reception, which garnered praise and appreciation from esteemed dignitaries.
ভিয়েতনামে মহান স্বাধীনতা ও জাতীয় দিবস উদযাপন
হ্যানয়, ২৬ মার্চ ২০২৪: বাংলাদেশের ৫৪তম মহান স্বাধীনতা ও জাতীয় দিবস যথাযথভাবে উদযাপনের লক্ষ্যে আজ ভিয়েতনামের হ্যানয়স্থ বাংলাদেশ দূতাবাস শহরের স্থানীয় এক হোটেলে একটি কূটনৈতিক অভ্যর্থনার আয়োজন করে। প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ভিয়েতনামের পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের উপ-পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ডু হাং ভিয়েত। এতে হ্যানয়স্থ বিভিন্ন দূতাবাসের রাষ্ট্রদূত, আন্তর্জাতিক সংস্থার প্রতিনিধি, ভিয়েতনামের পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের উচ্চপদস্থ কর্মকর্তাবৃন্দ, স্থানীয় ব্যবসায়ী প্রতিনিধি এবং হ্যানয়ে বসবাসরত প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিসহ শতাধিক অতিথি উপস্থিত ছিলেন। বাংলাদেশ ও ভিয়েতনামের জাতীয় সঙ্গীত পরিবেশনের মধ্য দিয়ে অনুষ্ঠান শুরু হয়।
অনুষ্ঠানে স্বাগত বক্তব্য রাখেন ভিয়েতনামে নিযুক্ত বাংলাদেশের রাষ্ট্রদূত মোহাম্মদ লুৎফর রহমান। বক্তব্যের শুরুতে তিনি জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান, মুক্তিযুদ্ধের ত্রিশ লাখ শহীদ, দুই লাখ মা-বোন এবং সকল বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করেন।
বিগত কয়েক বছরে বাংলাদেশের বড় বড় মাইলফলক অর্জনের কথা তুলে ধরে রাষ্ট্রদূত রহমান বলেন, “মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার গতিশীল নেতৃত্বে বাংলাদেশ বিগত কয়েক বছরে আর্থ-সামাজিক সকল খাতে উল্লেখযোগ্য অগ্রগতি অর্জন করেছে। ফলশ্রুতিতে এটি বর্তমানে বিশ্বের ৩৫তম বৃহত্তম অর্থনীতি। উন্নয়নের পরবর্তী ধাপ হিসেবে মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের স্বপ্নের সোনার বাংলা বিনির্মাণে বাংলাদেশকে ২০৪১ সালের মধ্যে একটি দারিদ্র্যমুক্ত, সুখী ও সমৃদ্ধশালী উন্নত জাতি হিসেবে গড়ে তুলতে নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছেন। আর বাংলাদেশের এই মহৎ অগ্রযাত্রায় আমি আন্তর্জাতিক সম্প্রদায়ের কাছ থেকে বর্ধিত সহযোগিতা কামনা করছি।“ তিনি বাংলাদেশের সাথে গভীর সহযোগিতামূলক সম্পর্ক বজায় রাখার জন্য ভিয়েতনামের বন্ধুপ্রতিম জনগণ এবং সরকারের প্রতি আন্তরিক কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করেন এবং আগামী বছরগুলিতে বাংলাদেশ ও ভিয়েতনামের মধ্যে বন্ধুত্বের বন্ধন আরো জোরদার করার জন্য একযোগে কাজ করার প্রত্যয় ব্যক্ত করেন।
প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে উপ-পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ডু হুং ভিয়েত স্বাধীনতার বিগত ৫৪ বছরে অর্জিত অসাধারণ সাফল্যের জন্য বাংলাদেশের জনগণ ও সরকারকে আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন জানান। তিনি বলেন, “বাংলাদেশের অর্থনীতি আজ দুর্বার গতিতে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছে। বিশ্ববাজারে পোশাক শিল্পে নেতৃত্ব প্রদান এবং জাতিসংঘ শান্তিরক্ষা কার্যক্রমে সর্বাধিক শান্তিরক্ষী প্রেরণকারী দেশ হিসেবে বাংলাদেশ আজ আঞ্চলিক ও আন্তর্জাতিক পরিমণ্ডলে এক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রাষ্ট্রশক্তি হিসেবে আবির্ভূত হয়েছে” । উপ-পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী প্রত্যয় ব্যক্ত করেন যে, প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার নেতৃত্বে বাংলাদেশ স্মার্ট নাগরিক, স্মার্ট অর্থনীতি এবং স্মার্ট সমাজ বিনির্মাণের মাধ্যমে রূপকল্প ২০৪১ বাস্তবায়ন করে মানুষের ভাগ্য পরিবর্তনে অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করবে। আর এই উন্নয়ন অগ্রযাত্রায় ভিয়েতনাম ও বাংলাদেশের মধ্যে সহযোগিতামূলক সম্পর্ক আরো সমৃদ্ধ হবে। তিনি আরও বলেন ” আমার দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস, দুই দেশের মধ্যে বিদ্যমান বাণিজ্যের পরিমাণ দ্রুত গতিতে বৃদ্ধি পাবে এবং শীঘ্রই তা দুই বিলিয়ন মার্কিন ডলার লক্ষ্যমাত্রা অতিক্রম করবে”।
প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যের পর দিবসটি উপলক্ষে কেক কাটা হয় এবং অতিথিদের ঐতিহ্যবাহী বাংলাদেশী খাবারের সমন্বয়ে ইফতার-নৈশভোজ পরিবেশন করা হয়। উল্লেখ্য, সংবর্ধনার সাথে সাথে বিগত বছরগুলোতে বাংলাদেশের উল্লেখযোগ্য উন্নয়ন সংক্রান্ত একটি প্রদর্শনী অনুষ্ঠিত হয় এবং এটি উপস্থিত অতিথিদের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা কুড়াতে সক্ষম হয়।
