কোয়ালিশন অ্যাভেনিয়ার ক্যুইবেক (সিএকিউ) নেতা ও বর্তমান ক্যুইবেক প্রীমিয়ার ফ্রাঁসোয়া লেগুর পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী রবিবার ২৮ আগষ্ট সকালে ক্যুইবেকের লে.-গভর্নর. মিশেল ডয়ন আইনসভা ভেঙে দেন।যার পর নির্বাচনের “আসল প্রচার শুরু হয়,”বলে ক্যুইবেক প্রীমিয়ার ফ্রাঁসোয়া লেগু তার প্রচারণা বাসে যাওয়ার সময় বলেন।
ইতিমধ্যেই প্রদেশ জুড়ে শহরগুলিতে বিভিন্ন দলের নির্বাচনী প্রতীক চিহ্ন বিরাজ করছে। আগামী ৩ অক্টোবরে ক্যুইবেকের জনগণ নির্বাচনে যাওয়ার আগে প্রায় পাঁচ সপ্তাহ ধরে প্রচার চলবে৷ ইতিমধ্যে দলের নেতারা পুরো গিয়ারে দিনভর বিভিন্ন রাইডিংয়ে হাজির হচ্ছেন।কুইবেক লিবারেল পার্টি এবং ক্যুইবেক প্রীমিয়ার ফ্রাঁসোয়া লেগুর CAQ ছিল প্রথম দল যারা সংবাদ সম্মেলন করে রবিবার সকালে তাদের নির্বাচনী প্রচারণা শুরু করেছেন।পার্টি ক্যুইবেকোয়া (পিকিউ) নেতা পল সেন্ট-পিয়ের প্লামন্ডন মন্ট্রিয়লের ক্যামিল-লরিনের রাইডিংএ বক্তৃতা করেন।
ক্যুইবেকের প্রধান প্রধান রাজনৈতিক দলের নেতারা সাম্প্রতিক সপ্তাহগুলোতে প্রার্থীদের নাম দিয়েছেন এবং নির্বাচনী প্রতিশ্রুতিও দিয়ে চলেছেন।
Quebec’s 43rd general election has officially kicked off.
Coalition Avenier Québec (CAQ) Leader François Legault made the announcement Sunday morning after asking Lt.-Gov. Michel Doyon to dissolve the legislature.
“The real campaign begins,” Legault said while making his way to his campaign bus.
Election signs are already up in cities across the province. The campaign will last about five weeks before Quebecers head to the polls on Oct. 3.
Party leaders are swinging into full gear, making appearances in several ridings throughout the day.
The Quebec Liberals and Legault’s CAQ were the first parties to hold news conferences, launching their campaigns Sunday morning.
Parti Québécois (PQ) Leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon then spoke in the Montreal reading of Camille-Laurin, followed by Conservative Party of Quebec Leader Éric Duhaime in his riding of Chauvreau, northeast of Quebec City.
Québec Solidaire (QS) is launching its campaign in the riding of Saint-François in the Eastern Townships, where it hopes to make gains this election.
All the major party leaders have named candidates and made election promises in recent weeks.
Polls suggest the CAQ holds a commanding lead as the campaign kicks off, and is widely expected to cruise to a second majority.
