নেপান্তলায় বঙ্গবন্ধুর ১০৪ তম জন্মবার্ষিকী

নেপান্তলায় বঙ্গবন্ধুর ১০৪ তম জন্মবার্ষিকী ও জাতীয় শিশু দিবস উৎসব মুখর পরিবেশে উদযাপন

জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের ১০৪ তম জন্মবার্ষিকী ও জাতীয় শিশু দিবস উপলক্ষ্যে মেক্সিকোস্থ বাংলাদেশ দূতাবাস কর্তৃক মেক্সিকো রাজ্যের নেপান্তলায় ১৯শে মার্চ ২০২৪ তারিখে একটি প্রাণবন্ত অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করে। সোর হুয়ানা ইনেস দে-লা ক্রজ এলিমেন্টারি বিদ্যালয়ের প্রায় ৫০ জন সুবিধা-বঞ্চিত শিক্ষার্থীদের স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অংশগ্রহণের মধ্য দিয়ে এবং সোর হুয়ানা জাদুঘরের কর্মকর্তা ও কর্মচারীদের উপস্থিতিতে, এক আনন্দঘন পরিবেশে এই অনুষ্ঠানটি উদযাপিত হয়।

উল্লেখ্য, গত  রবিবার ১৭ মার্চ ২০২৪ তারিখে, দিবসটি উপলক্ষ্যে জাতীয় সংগীতের মূর্ছনার সাথে রাষ্ট্রদূত আবিদা ইসলাম, দূতালয়ে জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করেন। এরপর দূতাবাসের সকল কর্মকর্তা ও কর্মচারীদের উপস্থিতিতে দূতাবাস প্রাঙ্গণ স্থাপিত বঙ্গবন্ধু প্রতিকৃতিতে পুস্তস্তবক অর্পণ করেন। এরপর দিবসটি উপলক্ষ্যে প্রেরিত মহামান্য রাষ্ট্রপতি ও মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বাণী পাঠসহ বিশেষ মোনাজাত করা হয়।

পরবর্তীতে, ১৯ মার্চ ২০২৪ তারিখে নেপান্তলায় তার বক্তব্যে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে ‘নেপান্তলা আঞ্চলিক সংস্কৃতি কেন্দ্র’-এর পরিচালক, জুডিথ পেনইয়া হার্নান্ডেজ, বাংলাদেশ দূতাবাসকে উষ্ণ অভ্যর্থনা জানান। সোর হুয়ানা ইনেস দে লা ক্রজ বিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যক্ষা, এস্থার লিবেরা ভার্গেরা, সুবিধা বঞ্চিত শিশুদের এই অবিস্মরণীয় স্মৃতি উপহার দেওয়ার জন্য দূতাবাসকে আন্তরিকভাবে ধন্যবাদ জানান।

রাষ্ট্রদূত আবিদা ইসলাম তার বক্তব্যে জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের স্মৃতির প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে শিশুদের প্রতি তার গভীর মমত্ববোধসহ বঙ্গবন্ধু রাজনৈতিক যাত্রা, দেশের প্রতি অমূল্য অবদা্‌ন এবং আত্মত্যাগের কথা তুলে ধরেন।  তিনি আরো বলেন যে, জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু  শুধুমাত্র একজন রাজনৈতিক নেতাই ছিলেন না,  তিনি ছিলেন আশার আলো, স্বাধীনতা ও সহনশীলতার  মূর্ত প্রতীক।  এই বছরের জাতীয় শিশু দিবসের প্রতিপাদ্য “বঙ্গবন্ধুর স্বপ্ন ধরে, আনব হাসি সবার ঘরে” আলোকে ভবিষ্যতে শান্তি, ঐক্য এবং সমতা প্রতিষ্ঠায় বঙ্গবন্ধুর দর্শন বাস্তবায়নের প্রতি তিনি জোর দেন।

আনন্দঘন এই উৎসবে বিদ্যালয়ের শিশুরা নানা ধরনের বীজ দিয়ে বঙ্গবন্ধুর প্রতিকৃতি শৈল্পিকভাবে সুসজ্জিত করে। একইসাথে বাংলাদেশের ঐতিহ্যবাহী বৈশাখী মুখোশও তারা রং করে । দুজন শিক্ষার্থী বঙ্গবন্ধুর জীবনী ও বাংলাদেশ নিয়ে অনুষ্ঠানে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বক্তব্য উপস্থাপনা করে যা উপস্থিত দর্শকদের মুগ্ধ করে।

শিক্ষার প্রতি বাংলাদেশ সরকারের অঙ্গীকারের প্রকাশ স্বরুপ রাষ্ট্রদূত আবিদা ইসলাম “বঙ্গবন্ধু তহবিল” হতে উক্ত বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীদের একটি ডেস্কটপ কম্পিউটার উপহার দেন। এ সময় বিদ্যালয় কর্তৃপক্ষের তরফ হতে তাকে একটি প্রশংসা সূচক সনদপত্র প্রদান করা হয়।

সবশেষে ‘ক্লাউন’-দের পরিবেশনা অনুষ্ঠানটিতে শিশুদের আনন্দের মাত্রা বাড়িয়ে দেয়। পরিশেষে, দিবসটি উপলক্ষ্যে কেক কাটা এবং আগতদের মাঝে খাবারের প্যাকেট ও উপহার সামগ্রী বিতরণের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের পরিসমাপ্তি ঘটে।

Children of Nepantla celebrated the 104th Birthday of Bangabandhu and National Children’s Day in a festive manner

The Bangladesh Embassy in Mexico City organized a vibrant celebration commemorating the 104th Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day, on March 19, 2024, in Nepantla, State of México. The event saw the spontaneous involvement of approximately 50 underprivileged children, from the Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz Elementary School, alongside officials from the Sor Juana Museum, all coming together in a jubilant atmosphere.

It may be mentioned that on March 17, 2024, Sunday, the Embassy initiated the ceremonial proceedings with the hoisting of the national flag by Ambassador Abida Islam at the Chancery premises, accompanied by the national anthem. This was followed by a poignant moment of laying a floral wreath at the bust of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, with the presence of all embassy officials. Subsequently, messages from the Hon’ble President and Hon’ble Prime Minister were read out culminating in a special prayer.

Transitioning to the vibrant setting of Nepantla on March 19, 2024, Judith Pena Hernandez, Director of the Nepantla Regional Cultural Center, extended a warm welcome to Bangladesh Embassy expressing her delight at hosting such a momentous occasion.

The Principal of Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz Elementary School, Esther Libera Vergara, in her introductory remarks thanked the Bangladesh Embassy for creating such an unforgettable memory for these under privileged children.

In her address, Ambassador Abida Islam paid deep homage to the Father of the Nation, shedding light on his political journey, invaluable contributions, and lasting legacy, particularly his tireless efforts for the welfare of Bangladesh’s children. Emphasizing Bangabandhu’s stature as more than just a leader, but a beacon of hope, freedom, and resilience, she reaffirmed the commitment to realizing his vision of a future defined by peace, unity, and equity.

The festivities continued with a vibrant cultural showcase by the students, featuring artistic renditions of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman adorned with various seeds, alongside the coloring of traditional Bangladeshi Boishakhi masks. Two students also shared poignant insights about the Father of the Nation and Bangladesh, captivating the audience with their brief presentations.

Ambassador Abida Islam further demonstrated Bangladesh’s commitment to education by presenting a desktop computer from the ‘Bangabandhu Fund’ to the school, a gesture warmly received by the Principal and students alike. She was also accorded a Certificate of Appreciation from the school.

To enhance the celebration, a lively clown performance brought joy to the children, culminating in the ceremonial cutting of a celebratory cake. Following this, food packs and gifts were distributed to all attendees in the presence of school, museum, and embassy officials.
