কানাডা সরকারের বাজেট ঘোষণা
১৬ এপ্রিল মঙ্গলবার বিকালে কানাডার অর্থমন্ত্রী ক্রিস্টিয়া ফ্রিল্যান্ড পার্লামেন্টে ফেডারেল সরকারের বাৎসরিক বাজেট ঘোষনা করেন। ঘোষিত বাজেটের কিছু মূল সংখ্যাক তথ্য এখানে দেওয়া হল।
২০২৪-২৫ আর্থিক বছরের জন্য মোট সরকারি ব্যয় ধার্য করা হয়েছে $৫৩৫ বিলিয়ন ডলার
$৪০ বিলিয়ন ডলার: ২০২৪-২৫ আর্থিক বছরের জন্য মোট ঘাটতি ধরা হয়েছে।
$১১.৫ বিলিয়ন ডলার: এই বছর অতিরিক্ত বা নূতন ব্যয়ের পরিমাণ ধার্য হয়েছে যা বেড়ে আগামী পাঁচ বছরে পরিকল্পনার চেয়ে $ ৫২.৯ বিলিয়ন অতিরিক্ত বা বেশি ব্যয় করতে হবে।
$৮.৫ বিলিয়ন ডলার: নতুন আবাসন বা বাড়ী তৈরিতে খরচ করা হবে।কানাডার ফেডারেল সরকার বলছে যে, তাদের আবাসন পরিকল্পনায় ২০৩১ সালের মধ্যে কানাডায় নির্মিত নতুন বাড়ির সংখ্যা হবে ৩.৮৭ মিলিয়ন।
$৮.১ বিলিয়ন: আগামী পাঁচ বছরে কানাডার প্রতিরক্ষা বাজেটের বৃদ্ধি ব্যয় হবে।

$১.৫ বিলিয়ন ডলার: পরবর্তী পাঁচ বছরে গর্ভনিরোধক ঔষধ এবং ডায়াবেটিসের ওষুধ এবং সরবরাহের সার্বজনীন কভারেজের পাঁচ বছরের খরচ ধরা হয়েছে।
$১৯.৪ বিলিয়ন ডলার: রাজস্বের পরিমাণ অটোয়া আশা করে যে পাঁচ বছরের লক্ষ্যমাত্রা পরিবর্তন থেকে মূলধন লাভ করের ক্ষেত্রে (Capital gain taxes)সংগ্রহ হবে।

$535 billion: Total government spending for the 2024-25 financial year.
Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland projects Ottawa will post a $40 billion deficit this fiscal year.
$11.5 billion: The amount of new spending this year.
$8.5 billion: What’s being spent to spur new housing.
3.87 million: The number of new homes the government says its housing plan will get built by 2031.
$8.1 billion: The boost to Canada’s defence budget over the next five years.
Ottawa to spend $52.9 billion more than planned over the next five years.
.Other major budget items include a $6 billion Canada Disability Benefit, a $1 billion national school food program and a $500-million fund for youth mental health.
